CMS Meeting: December 30, 2015

Due to unforeseen circumstances we will not be hosting Jade Florence as our speaker this month. Hopefully, we will be able to invite Jade back to speak to us soon.

So, for our December 30th meeting, we have a new agenda. Board Members will be bringing Holiday Sweets (you are welcome to also), and we will be having a casual Holiday meeting. If you have been out and have any mushroom finds to share or to have identified, please bring them to the meeting.

After a review of mushroom finds we will have a short discussion on how to identify and find a favorite winter mushroom, the Candy Cap (Lactarius rubidus). We will then preview Taylor Lockwood’s video titled Treasures from the Kingdom of Fungi.

If you have never seen Taylor’s video featuring his awesome mushroom photographs from around the world; you are in for a treat. Treasures from the Kingdom of Fungi illuminates the images on screen. Set to baroque and classical music, the Treasures DVD has been called “mushroom meditation.” This presentation represents over 15 years of Taylor’s public work to promote the beauty of mushrooms to audiences all over the world.
