Fungus walk guides needed on Nov 5 in Corvallis

Off topic, but I thought this is a good place to post this Volunteer Opportunity announcement ... for anyone near Corvallis.

The Avery House Nature Center in Corvallis is requesting Mushroom Guides for their 16th Annual Mushroom Hunt on Sunday Nov 5th from 10am-3pm at Beazell Memorial Forest. This year they will have a shuttle from the Hwy 20/223 intersection, a silent auction, mushroom ID table and lots of crafts!

We are reaching out to fungus "experts" in the area if anyone would be available and willing to lead 1 or 2 fungus walks during our event. We are looking for are individuals who have experience leading groups or tours (nature guides are an added bonus) who can bring excitement and life to a short hike and enthusiastically answer questions about the labeled mushrooms along the way!

Each walk would be approximately an hour in length and could either be focused towards adults or families. Since the event itself runs from 10-3 and we are hoping to offer 3 tour times (10:30, 12:00, and 1:30) with two/three guides for each tour (a separate one for families and one for adults). The family hike would start one way on the loop trail and the adult hike would head out the other way and both would meet back at the barn at the end of the hour.

In return, we could offer each guide two tickets for the Corvallis Environmental Center's Wild and Scenic Film Fest on Nov 16th!
