General Meeting – Thursday September 13

Rare Fungi in the Pacific Northwest 

Molly Juillerat, District Botanist for the Middle Fork Ranger District (Willamette National Forest) will give a slideshow presentation that explains the Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management Interagency program policies and management of rare fungi in the Pacific Northwest. She will focus on the species in the Willamette National Forest and the Eugene BLM lands. Molly will explain the data that is gathered, research that has come out of their efforts, and show us how we can help find and protect rare fungi in our area.

There will also be someone available to provide mushroom permits. If you are interested in getting your permit at the meeting be sure to bring identification.

Please join CMS in welcoming Moly Juillerat as our guest speaker for the first general meeting of the fall mushroom season. Our general meetings are the second Thursday of the month. Meet at 7 PM, Room 115, Science Building (Building 16) at Lane Community College in Eugene. The presentation is free and open to the public.
