Mushroom Kitsch Donations Wanted For Fungal Feast
The holidays are behind us and now we can look forward to the New Year with excitement and anticipation. If you were the recipient or the collector of unwanted “mushroom kitsch” please consider donating your mushroom “art” to the February Fungal Feast silent auction.
The Cascade Mycological Society hosts an annual Fungal Feast in February in cooperation with the culinary arts program at Lane Community College. This year we will hold a silent auction of donated mushroom kitsch/art at the Feast with the proceeds going to the CMS Scholarship and Grant Programs.
Please consider donating your excess mushroom art, mushroom kitsch, or other fungal-themed items (pictures, kitchen items, books, etc) to this worthy cause. Donations can be dropped off at Chris & Molly’s house (115 Dorris St. Springfield, 746-7548) or bring them to the January CMS meeting.
NOTE: This year Jack Czarnecki has agreed to be our guest chef and lead the culinary students in creating a fantastic fungal feast. Tickets are $25 for CMS members and $30 for non-members, and will be available beginning mid January. Order your tickets early since they sell out quickly.
