General Meeting — Thursday October 8th, 2009
So many species!
NOTE: The topic has been changed for this month as Dr. Jim Trappe has rescheduled his talk for January’s general meeting.
This month will feature an identi-fest, please bring in your fungal specimens to share with the group as we work as a team to expand our knowledge of taxonomy. We’ll have local experts on hand to help you figure out what to call that weird thing growing out of your backyard (or maybe your carpet?!). You’ll also sound more sophisticated at upcoming social events when the latin for mushrooms rolls off your tongue 
. So join in the fun, we’ll have identification guides on hand, but feel free to bring your own if you like. We’ll also have access to microscopes in case we get something tough to differentiate.
Meet at 7:00 pm, room 115, Science Building (Building 16) at Lane Community College in Eugene.
