General Meeting– April 9, 2009

Our April speaker will be Patrice Benson, from Puget Sound Mycological Society in Seattle.  She will present an audio-visual program entitled “Colors from Mushrooms: The art and craft of mushroom dyes and pigments,” for the CMS general meeting on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 7 pm, room 115, Science Building (Building 16) at Lane Community College in Eugene. Patrice will have many examples of the beautiful pieces she has created.

Please note:  Tuesday April 7th, Patrice will also address NATS (North American Truffling Society) on the same subject in Corvallis.   Please see Natruffling.org for details.

SPECIAL MUSHROOM DYE WORKSHOP

On Wednesday, April 8th, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm, Patrice Benson of the Puget
Sound Mycological Society will conduct a workshop/demonstration of “The Art
and Craft of Mushroom Dyes and Pigments”  the evening before the CMS
general meeting.    This special event will be held in the same room CMS
usually meets in, room 115, Science Building (Building 16) at Lane
Community College in Eugene.   Everyone is welcome; materials will be
provided; please call Molly Widmer at (541) 746-7548 if you have questions.
